Owned by Nica Burns and Max Weitzenhoffer, Nimax Theatres is an entrepreneurial and innovative organisation that owns and operates six theatres in the heart of London’s West End – the Apollo, Duchess, Garrick, Lyric, Palace, and Vaudeville. Additionally, Nica Burns has built an exciting new flexible theatre located at the top of Charing Cross Road, @sohoplace, which has recently opened and has a close operational relationship with Nimax Theatres.
Our theatres currently have a combined capacity of 5,600 seats and, in addition to hosting some of the UK’s most critically acclaimed and successful plays and musicals, present a busy and varied programme of comedy, concerts and children’s theatre.

About the role
The Audience Data & Insights Manager is a new role within Nimax’s Ticketing & Sales department, and will work closely with the Head of Ticketing and Marketing Managers to analyse Nimax’s audience and ticket sales data, develop and administer Nimax customer databases, and forecast ahead. This role is responsible for understanding, translating and presenting sales patterns and trends, informed business intelligence and analysis reporting to a range of internal and external stakeholders, and keeping up to date with the latest trends and behaviours within the arts marketing and ticketing industry.
This role is 4 days per week, 10am-6pm.
Key duties and responsibilities
- Develop Nimax’s strategic use of data intelligence and insight to reach audiences and ticket bookers.
- Proactively lead data sourcing and analysis through platforms including Nimax’s ticketing and CRM systems such as Activity Stream, Google Analytics, and other platforms.
- Develop and maintain contact databases and data dashboard and reports across the Nimax Ticketing & Sales and Marketing teams in a secure manner, that inform and enhance sales campaigns.
- Lead, manage and maintain data projects including introduction of new platforms and systems, and identify new resources to supplement our existing data platforms.
- Develop informed customer segmentation to better understand our audiences and empower effective communication strategies.
- Research and gather data effectively in an ethical and factual manner, adhering to the General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018.
- Manage the effective collection, analysis and use of market intelligence, audience research and sales data to inform and track ticket revenue and engagement goals.
- Seek out and maintain knowledge of industry and sector trends and benchmarks, including segmentations, audience profiles and social behaviours.
- Work collaboratively within the Ticketing & Sales and Marketing teams and wider Nimax departments to effectively facilitate data driven decisions.
- Provide clear, concise and outcome-driven data reports as required.
- Identify sales and customer service targets, monitoring the development and outcomes.
- Carry out additional administrative data duties within the Ticketing & Sales team as directed by the Head of Ticketing.

Person Specification
Essential
- Proven experience in a similar or related role
- Excellent analytical skills, with a mind for identifying and investigating patterns
- Excellent organisational, communication and administrative skills
- Excellent time and project management skills, and working to deadlines successfully.
- Attention to detail and results-focused
- Effective interpersonal skills with a practical and supportive approach to problem solving
- Experience/understanding of ticketing systems, partner agencies and CRM marketing databases
- Experience/understanding of audience development strategies, data segmentation and analysis techniques
- Strong interest in theatre and audiences, particularly London and West End.
- Strong understanding of data analysis and platforms including Microsoft Excel.
Desirable
- Knowledge/use of NLiven or similar Ticketing Software
- Knowledge/use of CRM systems
- Knowledge/use of other data analysis platforms and/or coding
